TOPIC: Basics of Air Distribution

By: Dan Int-Hout III
Presentation Outline:
The basic physics of air distribution must be fully understood before one can properly select components for a project. This lecture will cover:
- Understanding Terminology – the science
- When to use (and the limitations of) ADPI (Air Diffusion Performance Index)
- Proper Diffuser Selection and Location – Cost and aesthetics
- “Rules of Thumb” for estimating buoyancy effects
- Common Product Groups
-
- Well Mixed (Inductive) Air Distribution
- Non Inductive Air Distribution
